Echo was such a fun person with a fun name!  We were friends at Midvale Elementary  and we had a creative blast at recess, but one time we were in the bathroom when the bell rang to end recess.  We didn't hear it and so we were late getting back to class.  The teacher sent us to the principal's office and I was terrified, but Echo was cool; she had been there before so she told me  it would just be a "talking to."  She was right, but the principal said something neither of us expected.  He told us that we should not be friends any more because we were probably a bad influence on each other.  That effectively ended our friendship, but I've always had a special place in my heart for Echo being the person I was with the first time I got in trouble in school.   Marilyn Workman
