I married right out of high school, 9 years later divorced. I found the love of my life in 1979 and we have been together since. We have raised our four children together and they have all given us great joy.
I worked for Skagg's Drug for 14 years in many different offices until they moved to Payson, Ut. I then went to work for Smith's buying office until Alan and I decided to start our own trucking business in 1985.
For the first 10 years of our marriage we bought a home each year as an investment. That went well until capital gains taxes took their toll. We have been landlords since 1979, which is a job in itself. We have only one house now that is a rental.
In 1990 we moved out of the Salt Lake Valley to Coalville, Ut. Last year we moved to Mesquite, NV (one of the homes we bought for investment). We love it here and hope to remain here.
I am now retired and on disabilty because of my Muscular Dystrophy. I'm not able to sit long hours at a desk like I did. However, it is the best thing for me because I am able to have my freedom to travel and spend time with my family.
Life just plugs along but we are happy and love to take off when we feel the urge.

Barbara, I never really had the chance to apologize for kissing you at the door to our 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Daughters class, at Cottonwood Elementary, I exhibited poor manners, a lack of self control, but very good taste in young ladies......Please accept my apology, I hope it didn't leave a lasting impression.....You were a Doll..........Were
Here, here! I "third" the motion that Barbara was, and will always be, the dark-eyed beauty from Cottonwood Heights! You were so sohpisticated and smart that I was always a bit intimidated around you.
Bill, Paul, Barbara, it was Mrs. Daughters 4th grade class at Cottonwood Elementary, fall of 1960, she pulled me aside and said it would be polite to ask Barbara out for dinner, at the drive in, Park N Eat ?, on the corner by Barbaras house with the trampoline in front, before I went straight for the kiss, she may have moved up to 6th later on. Connie Meadows comforted Barbara after this tramatic experience, Dan Holliday commented to me what a move for a future Were, and Charles Ross paraded around the classroom blowing his trombone, in celebration of this breath taking event. Word got out in the girl circles of my "Ability", one sixth grade chick came right out and offered me 25 cents for a smootch. I really needed an agent.......Were
