I went to elementary and junior high school before attending Hillcrest with Kelvin. My closest association with him was back in elementary at Union. It was right next to Hillcrest on 7th East. Kelvin was a great marble player and I recall he won a lot of my marbles at recess marble games. When I saw him in later years it seemed that life was not treating him well. It was my impression he was looking for a way out, up, or through to something better. I did see in him a good heart and kindness.

Kelvin was killed after we graduated. Someone shot him in a local bar in Midvale during a pool game, if my memory serves me correctly.Dan Rosenhan
