Jody Chavis 1951 ~2011

Jody Chavis, our dearest sister, aunt, and friend passed on March 4, 2011, after a two-year struggle with cancer. Jody was born on April 20, 1951 in American Fork, Utah, to Ray and Harriett Chavis. She had a 20-year career with Global Experience Specialists, becoming a Senior Account Manager, producing trade shows throughout the country. She was most proud of her success in that field and loved what she did. She loved her work family as much as she loved her own family. Jody is survived by her brothers and sisters Larry Chavis (Lou), Judith Silva, Carol Reese (Clair), Susan Chavis, and David Chavis (Maureen). Special thanks to her very loving and supportive friends who helped care for her to the end, Paula Powell and Harvey Ladd. Our appreciation to Evan from Hearts for Hospice for his support. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3401 S. Highland Drive, SLC, UT.
