Robert Kim Burkinshaw, 39, passed away on Monday, November 5, 1990.

He was born September 3, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert Beck and Joyce Bateman Burkinshaw. He married Vicky Richardson on June 25, 1977 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Kim graduated from Hillcrest High School and received Economics degrees from the University of Utah (BA 1974) and Utah State University (MA 1976). He was employed as an account executive for Merrill-Lynch, E. F. Hutton, Shearson-Lehman, Piper-Jaffray, and Brookstreet Securities.Our cherished and beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, demonstrated many Christ-like qualities throughout his life and will be remembered for his many acts of kindness, big-hearted giving, jovial stories, and his love and prowess of baseball. He was a wonderful father to his son.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky and son, Yuri Ian Burkinshaw, both of Salt Lake City; parents, Joyce and Robert Burkinshaw, Midvale; father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Verlayne Richardson, Sandy; brothers, Jeffrey R. and wife, Stacey Burkinshaw, Chicago; Mark S. and wife, Wendy Burkinshaw, Clayton, California; sisters, Laurie and husband, Larry Baker; Jennifer Robyn Burkinshaw, all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Cindy and husband, Jeff Williams; brother-in-law, Jerry and wife, Natalie Richardson, all of Phoenix, Arizona; also nine nieces and five nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 1990, at 1 p.m. in the Ensign Peak LDS Ward Chapel, 125 East North Sandrun Rd. (940 North). Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday, at the church from 11:30-12:40 p.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his wife requests a donation to the Yuri Ian Burkinshaw Education Account at Zions First National Bank of Utah.
